  • You will never be a scuba diver kid - you have bad sinus problems. Shocked

Let's Summarize:

You (95+ percent chance) have a fungal infection in your sinuses. The antibiotics are actually making it worse. It keeps coming back because antibiotics don't kill fungus-they kill bacteria. Good and bad bacteria. And when you kill good bacteria-anything thats ready can jump in there and set up shop! You need to find a way to put your body back in balance so you can get off the sinus infection merry-go-round! Evil or Very Mad

Here We Go!

According to the good folks over at The Mayo Clinic the primary cause of 95+ percent of all sinus infections is fungal. That's right, fungal. You know- like yeast, mold, athletes foot, jock itch ect. We have to be very flexible when talking to children about Sinus Ear. They seem to interpret things in a different way from the way we see things!

Even when I was A little kid my head hurt all the time-But I didn't really know why until I went swimming at a friends house. All of us kids were trying to collect quarters my friends dad was throwing into the pool for us-kind of a game. But I couldn't play. I couldn't dive to the bottom of the pool without a crushing pain in my forehead. Although there was a lot of fluctuation in the writing styles of we independent writers, we have come up with an end product on Sinus Ear worth reading! Shocked

We Know a Little More Now So Lets Take a Look At:

What are the primary causes of your sinus infection misery. Why the plan of treatment (antibiotics) most folks follow will never fix the problem-I will give you a hint... You have to treat the problem. Why your sinus infection and it's symptoms keep coming back when you have probably taken enough antibiotics to kill anthrax! • Had already started to plan my life around my sinus symptoms!
  • And Mom was regularly taking me to the doctor for drugs (antibiotics) and advice.
  • But back then nobody really knew anything about sinus infections or sinusitis.
  • The sinus (ear nose & throat) doctor told my mom I would "grow out of it" for almost 20 years!

Antibiotics-Why They are Part of the Problem:

Because the antibiotics are not treating the problem! The problem is the fungal infection-The other infections (the ones you keep treating with antibiotics) you keep getting are really just symptoms (or side effects) of the fungal sinus infection you live with all the time. Rolling Eyes

Here is What I Recommend:

Find a good natural program to put your body back in a position to take care of itself by beating back the fungal infection that is the true cause of your sickness.Follow that good natural program even when you feel fine-so you don't find yourself here again. We found it rather unbelievable to find out that there is so much to learn on Sinus Ear! Wonder if you could believe it after going through it! Shocked

Am Worn Out

I'm not worth much today. I cannot seem to get it together. This spot on my sinus is hurting again and I cannot breathe through my nostril. The smell of her perfume is getting to me. Wow, I sure could use a break from these fluorescent lights. Now my sinuses are throbbing. Finally, it's time to go home. I know it's dinner time, but I really don't feel like eating. I wonder if I will need to go to the doctor again and take another round of antibiotics. I hate that, because I always have to treat the yeast infection that follows.'

This person falls into the migraine syndrome profile. Let me explain what I mean by the migraine syndrome. It is the outward expression of the body's sensitivity to light, sound, smell, food, and/or stress. Some people are more sensitive than others; therefore, their reactions to different stimuli are greater. This sensitivity can be manifested in the body as migraines, sinus headaches, neck aches, palpitations, irritable bowel syndrome, motion sickness or vertigo, reactive hypoglycemia, temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ), panic attacks, and/or fibromyalgia. Now that's a mouthful! Understanding what is going on with you is very important in the healing process. Once you are through reading what is written here on Sinus Headaches, have you considered recollecting what has been written and writing them down? This way, you are bound to have a better understanding on Sinus Headaches.

Regrettably this presentation of migraine usually receives a prescription of antibiotics rather than appropriate care. Just as bad, the patient gives up on seeking medical care and resorts to self-medicating which can lead to complications, such as, rebound headaches or chronic daily headaches. Proper diagnosis is essential to beginning appropriate care. Unfortunately many patients have even had multiple sinus surgeries without success. I am pleased to report that the efforts of headache experts are starting to be realized. I have found ENT surgeons in my area of the country are now more aware of migraines presentations and are more alert to recommend their patients to receive appropriate care.
